Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Thoughts door insignia. Ive seen newer and older 911s wt either Porsche sticker down side of door and some with Carrera insignia. Havent seen many 996s. Ive got a silver cabriolet with the metropol blue top. Considering the blue Carrera down door or Porsche in blue also above rocker. Just kicking it around and if anyone has pics that done it.

POST 2Original post

Most folks here advocate for ether leaving it stock or what was available from the factory which was a door stripe similar to the attached image. Be careful when ordering because some knockoffs have the wrong font.

POST 3Original post

Got mine on Ebay. Don't remember the seller, but it was shipped from Canada. Decent quality, removable. Just having some fun with it! Don't have a picture handy, though.

I like the style of the new "porsche" insignia 992 style, that reaches only to where the door ends. For the 996 you have to order the Cayman size (the 992 is too big) This one https://www.suncoastparts.com/produc...x7sstripe.html Dont forget to post photos if you go that route!!

POST 5Original post

I went silver on silver with mine. Did the installation myself about 6 years ago...very easy to do if you've ever used decals on model building. Ordered from a local guy here in Canada, but I don't think he's around anymore. Indistinguishable from the much more expensive kit sold at the dealerships. This photo is from a couple of weeks ago. It still looks perfect. Very durable.
