Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.

I could open up a business just repairing rotted frames in the '97-06 models.

Soon as UAOS shows up for the middle boy C2, need to do the clutch and IMS, after that I need to start working on Triumph Bonneville I picked up, 1970 Bonneville with less than 1200 miles and not been on the road or running since 1979.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

What other non porsche related projects are you working on? Im sure theres plenty of us that are racing other cars besides P cars. Interested in seeing them.
Hot rods? Motorbikes? Airplanes? Chariots? Magic carpet?
Normal up keep on the 350z track car and Rx7 drift car.
Last fall I picked up a properly seasoned 1st gen rx7 to restore and start racing this year.
My truck makes a pretty ridiculous squeel when it's cold in the morning, neighbors probably don't like it echoing at 5:00am. I know it's the brakes just not sure which, need to get it on stands and rotate each wheel to find the culprit.
I dont know much about jeeps but if my girlfriends 06 Grand Cherokee ends up looking like that im driving it to the scrap yard lol. Just did the brakes on it last night and it seemed to be pretty rust free still.

I work on other peoples cars.
I wish I could afford a second project car now, but at the moment my money is going into my 996. (saving for my F6I track performer rebuild)
In a few month Ill be done saving and Ill be looking for another car.
Im going to need something to drive while my 996 is being transformed in GA.
It will have to be an automatic and not too powerful.
Ill be teaching my daughter to drive in it.
I wouldnt mind a project, but it cant take too long to sort out since Ill need to be able to drive it in about 6 months. (Daddy driving instructor)
So far there is a 1979 MGB and a 1988 SaaB 900S to keep me entertained. Not sure if the 2001 BMW 320i counts tho.
I keep looking for other fun toys as well - something like a Jensen Healy or a Triumph TR7 could be nice.

Sort of car related...I built a storage shelf for my grandson’s hot wheels cars inspired by Jeep TJ front grille. Holds about 100 cars, lights and directionals work, too!
My son has only ever driven Jeeps and his son is crazy about them also.
I have an Audi S3 that has a tune and intake, might be going stage 2 shortly and we got my wife a Tiguan last year that we are doing some OEM+ stuff with. Will eventually lower that and get some bigger wheels for it.
always been fascinated by saab engineering. I have a buddy thats obsessed with them.
Thanks. Its been a great track car. It was in awful shape when I got it, Didn't think the thing was gonna make the drive home. Currently still on the same engine and clutch now at 170k still ripping lol
For how frequently I bring home more hotwheels I really need to make a good display setup. That thing is sweet
Theyre great cars when naturally aspirated. I had some HKS prototype parts when they closed the HKS USA warehouse her first time. Miss that car but love the 996 about the same. Switched over to German cars after I got rid of her and my daily is a constant project because the euro models have so much extra stuff its amazing. Here are pics of the old Z and the daily driven Touareg.
My other hobby is firearms and been working on the gun closet. Its been about 3yrs since Ive been home long enough to work on it but here are the progress photos. Also have some rifles Im working on as well but again... take so much time.
I need to find a set of pads and rotors that last longer on the rears at least than a year on my e350 transit. Granted I carry a lot of weight, but there has to be something that lasts longer.
powerstop offers upgraded oem stuff. I think its the Z36 line is the heavy duty stuff. I was hesitant in trying them at first but now i have happily been using them for years.
I second the powerstop, really good value. Rockauto has a good warranty on them. I have used them on three other cars, I am considering them for the 996.
I have a share in this and am lead engineer on it. I also look after several other aircraft both professionally and the owners are kind enough to allow me to fly their aircraft as a thank you for the work I do. An aeroplane is a much simpler machine than a Porsche 996, though the standard of workmanship you need to display must be beyond reproach every time.

Yep, Vans RV-8. 180mph cruise, inverted oil system, aerobatic but still capable of very short field operations. It's a brilliant all-rounder, but when funds allow I'll probably trade up to something with more power and a carbon wing as I fly aerobatic competitions and although I've won stuff in this, it's not the hardcore aerobatic machine I need to move up the categories.
No doubt, the consequences of failure in workmanship in aviation can be, well unforgiving. I haven't flown anything in about 14yrs. The aviation itch gets scratched these days by the occasional ride in one of my customer's new Falcon. What a way to travel. Different end of the spectrum. That RV-8 looks fun too.
