Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

'04 C4S 6MT 103k+ miles I am the 3rd owner of my 996 and the first owner had replaced the IMSB around 2013-14 w/ a retrofit. Not sure what the mileage was when this occurred and unfortunately was never registered w/ LN. I want to tackle the bearing with an LN single row Pro and the RMS with an OEM seal. However I am looking at ebay and thinking of purchasing the bearing from a user known as "type4store". (I know if buying from LN directly one can rent their tool). Does anyone here have the installation tool from LN for both the bearing and seal who are willing to rent out both to me? The tools are pricey so I can venmo you a deposit and expect a refund upon return of the tool back to you.

POST 2Original post

PM me with your timeline... I've got the tools but they're about 50 miles away from me at the moment and I'm not sure when I can get them. If you're not in a big rush, I can probably make it happen.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Not big rush. Will let you know when i have the bearing and seal on hand. Thank you!

POST 4Original post

Single Row Pro requires another tool to load up the lock ring on the bearing before installation. Make sure you get that too.
