Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

That bulldog needs some epoxy filling some of its wrinkles.

I react when things warrant it, and that scenario proved it was time for a massive change around here.

Jake, have you considered using morse code for future customer contact?
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

It seemed like a wonderful morning being in the low 80s and mild humidity for a drive with the windows down.
Traffic on the way to work was only moderately annoying (which should have been a sign given that schools are back now) and I even got a few glorious miles in 3rd in the 5-5.5k range. Then it happened
I parked the car and there were no odd smells, no fluid drips, and no strange noises. Imagine my shock to realize that I had a perfectly normal trip where nothing went wrong
I called Flat 6 and vented about it to the person that answered. They said they'd call me back, but it's been 10 whole minutes and Jake hasn't called to berate me. What garbage customer support they have for people that have never given them a dime or have a car that was worked on by their shop!
Yes I fully expect karma to bite me in the *** on the way home, but such is life. Lighten up people, you own a Porsche!
My drive into work went well too, except of course that I currently am "in between" 996s. Didn't stop me from calling Jake's shop and bitching. I mean, I'm the one who sold my car, but still, all that matters is that I don't have a 996 to drive right now. And I don't give a sh-- if he's on vacay with his fam, I want a call back now, dammit. After all, I've never paid him a dime to do anything for me, so he OWES me.
I had a light bulb burn out in the bathroom this morning. First I tried to call Thomas Edison and complain. Then I thought, what the heck, I called Jake to vent. Like Gonzo, anxiously awaiting his return call and advice.
I can tell you I was pretty mad when the RMS blew out in my toilet this morning. Who did I call, well it wasn't Ghost Busters! Called Flat Six at 5:30a.m. and got an fricking answering machine, WTH??? An answering machine??? I want to know what happened to the 24 hour customer service?

I always picture Jake as more of a bulldog with a missing eye, horrible scars down one side of his face and body, and a terrible slobbering problem. Who knew he was so fluffy that he's almost cute?
If you call tomorrow, all you'll get is a bunch of prompts and at the end, if you make the right choice, you'll have a chance to leave a message. In that case the system says that we will ONLY call you back if you are interested in our engines.
All in process customers will receive a direct hotline to Jud's desk.
I'm done with it.
Mr. Raby, you have a dedicated fan base here... We understand what's going on and hope you can let it go and relax with your loved ones.
Please leave the ****ty comments to us... And enjoy your time off!
Email basically is smoke signals
Gee, anyone else think Jake is overreacting a bit?
I do understand you don't want to deal with problems that are not yours, but it's a little like cutting off your nose to spite your face
Either that or he is going through manopause
and WTF are you doing this crap while on your vacation?
I'm fed up with people and their entitlements. I react when things warrant it, and that scenario proved it was time for a massive change around here.
That's all.
It was a vacation, now it's just another day.
Jake has a strong personality. Some people get it and accept it and others don't. How much comes from being a Marine vs being a requirement to be a Marine is beyond me, but all the ex-Marines I know are just as hard nosed when it comes to defending themselves.
The guy with the dead motor was an *** to make an irate call to someone that had zero to do with the situation and then compound it by running to the Net to bitch about how someone that shouldn't be helping is not helping (oh my god! the horror!).
From that I perfectly get Jake taking personal offense at someone impugning the reputation of his business (and himself) and it's integrity.
Unfortunately situations like this just don't end well as his detractors will not let him be and he can't just walk away (it's not in a Marine's DNA).
People like Jake are survivors. I bet he has to force himself to be nice to and tolerate most people's ignorance instead of answering them with a 32MM combination wrench over the skull.
I can't believe I'm saying this, but I agree with you.
It's also why you want someone like Jake in your corner when the **** hits the fan. They aren't going to dick around about it. They are just going to solve the problem.
Best compliment I have received in a long time!
I grew up with a dad that pounded the following quote into my head from the time I was a little boy:
"The only way around trouble, is straight through the middle"

God dammit gnat! I have coffee coming out of my nose and all over my shirt!
Come to think of it, my internet speed has been kind of finniky lately. Sometimes it's good, sometimes it's bad. I better call F6I ASAP! If they don't respond, I'm posting a rant thread for sure.
Well I gave karma the bird this morning and she kicked my *** on the way home
Traffic finally lightened up enough to go to 3rd for a brief bit and a God damn fly hit the windshield
Now the car is totaled and I can't figure out how to navigate Jake's new phone menu to see if they can help
Oh. Wait. This isn't a BMW so it should be just fine
Jake finally snapped and showed his sense of humor
I'm picturing him standing atop a pile of dead vacationers with a bloody torque wrench in his hands, though the earlier image of him as a fluffy little ankle nipper is ruining the image a bit
Only one fix, when you feel you want to explode just pick up your daughter, give her a big hug and tell her how much you love her and all this other crap will fade into the abyss. Don't let this crap steal that joy from you and your family! Focus your attention on the ones who deserve it right now, it is not the people on this board.
On another note Jake, I am going to visit friends on Martha's Vineyard next week, do you think you can have my toilet fixed by the time I get back?
