Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Is there a trick to getting it out? I backed out the carrier plate bolts and the pump is free to move around but I can't get it to come out.

POST 2Original post

If you're removing it from the bottom, make sure you've followed all the DIY steps from i.e. the Pelican parts instructions. You will have to rotate it some to remove it. It has also been reported that it can be pulled from the top with the belt tensioner removed.

POST 3Original post

When I did mine, I had to remove the thermostat housing (which I was replacing anyway) and move the hard line that is in that area. That made it easy to remove it from the bottom. I used this video. The guy in the video doesn't use the OEM metal gasket and uses sealant. Ignore that part of the video. Everything else is very helpful. You Tube

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks. Yeah that will do the trick. The hard line is basically what's blocking it.
