Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion
Thing's barely been run long enough to break in, let alone bore score!
Leading evidence: 'Run long enough' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Run long enough' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Super low mileage, celebrity owner, 2004 4s:

Now if the photographer only knew how to close the frunk!!!!

. This 4S will be interesting to see how much the final price will sell. Low miles and a beauty...
I dont get it. Buying a drivers (Porsche) sports car and not using as it was designed for. And I doubt the next owner will either, due to the low miles and perceived collectibility.....
or maybe Im just jealous I dont have the means to buy vehicles used that way😎
beautiful car.
Cosmetically... inside and out - simply beautiful, especially the optional natural leather interior. But!!! now to the engine -
First off, no DME report for overrevs, rough running, or fuel trim...
Next, no cylinder images to rule out cylinder bore scoring...
No, camshaft deviation report.
The two owners only drove it less than 300 miles/year! Uggh!
I'd rather have one that was a least driven regularly and had the bearing addressed.
I guess if you're a collector or enjoy nice garage ornament, this is the type of car for you.
Hardly driven garage queen... most problematic 6204 bearing... Therefore, NO THANK YOU.

Not sure what to think of this one, but i hate the Yankees so i wont be bidding!!
Good lord, that description of the car makes me cringe. The dealer selling the car clearly knows nothing about these cars (or cars in general I'm inclined to believe).
It had some nice options (exhaust, gauges, heating, shifter, etc.). However, it seems the sport seats were listed on the option tag but that's not what the pictures show in the car AFAIK.
Yes, maybe the world is discovering how great the 996 4S is. Search on BaT for "4S", and here are some recent 996 4S sales prices:
1/22/21: $47.750
1/19/21: $50,500
1/11/21: $41,750
12/21/20: $46,500
12/14/20: $40,252
11/24/20: $37.250
10/28/20: $43,750
10/15/20: $39,750
Perhaps $40K is the new floor for these cars, which is up from about $25K when I was shopping 4 years ago. They are truly beautiful cars and perfectly balanced in performance, quality, features, and design.
I admittedly overpaid, $38k, for a 21.7k mile 03 4s coupe, 6 speed with PSE back in March, 2019......or maybe i was just a trendsetter? Ive added 29k miles since then and though its nice to know i can probably get out for scratch at worse, Im never selling it!
I was watching that auction with interest as it sat at $40K for quite some time. Its is nice to see the bump in prices. Just got back from a long twisty drive in my C4S and its worth every penny and then some!
