Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Suggestion
If you break one you can drill it out and use a bolt, I have done it on more than one of mine but it makes it harder to work on as you need to get a wrench or socket on both ends to loosen or tighten them.
Leading evidence: 'Use bolt, i have done it' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Use bolt, i have done it' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

One of the studs broke on my car and a muffler shop fixed it no problem using that method.
If I break a bolt on the muffler support bracket, do i need to buy a new bracket or is the bolt replaceable. I started taking the three bolts off on one side the other day. I got two loose and the 3rd (the difficult one) seems stuck. I decide to leave alone because not quite sure what happens if I break the stud. I guess I can get the muffler off the car but is the bracket junk?
Looking at pictures, it looks like the bolts are separate from the bracket so if I brake one I can Still pull the muffler off when all the nuts are removed. Then put another bolt where the broken one was? Is that correct?
Also, do I need a wrench on the head of the bolt before I started removing the nut?
Sorry, I really need to visualize a worse case scenario before I get started.
The three studs are tack welded in place. If you break one you can drill it out and use a bolt, I have done it on more than one of mine but it makes it harder to work on as you need to get a wrench or socket on both ends to loosen or tighten them.
note that there are two patterns to these bolts/brackets depending on the year of the car. I know this because I bought some from the later models that don’t fit on my car. Depending on the year and side I might have one that would fit your car. You can also find the on eBay, Parts society and other places.
I would not assume a shop would fix anything correctly. I would tell the shop that if they break the stud u will pay them to weld a new stud back in its place.
+1 on Doug's comment; those 3 studs are tack-welded on the bracket. one stud on my exhaust-bracket came loose at the weld so I asked a friend to help tack-weld it back in place on the bracket and everything worked fine again. It's a lot easier to mount the exhaust-can back on the bracket that way due to tight spot under the car. Good-luck, cheers,
I broke one myself, the bracket is expensive. I put it back on with two bolts, not ideal but next time I take the bumper off I will fix it. Seems to be holding up fine so far.
