02 cab.....i don't see this in the manual. Also I get a single beep when locking but nothing seems to be amiss...except my passenger window is flaky and wont drop to open the door and sometimes jumps up and down
Means something is open .If you can check that everything else is closed securely (rear center console, engine lid, frunk, glove box) , my guess is that you have a bad passenger door latch. A check with a Durametric might point you in the right direction.
yeah that makes a lot of sense. it thinks the door is open and it explains the window. actually how does it know if the door is closed or open? is there a switch somewhere?
Remember that the latch is mechanical as well as electronic. I had to replace my driver side latch due to mechanical problems. It's not always just the switch.
Your alarm system is detecting one of your door lock micro switches have gone bad. We have the same issue, and previously when we had a Foxwell scanner it would tell us which door lock mechanism is malfunctioning, and with our current Durametric scanner it detects a problem but didn't identify which door.
Is your CLS light on the dask always on? Mine was and "beeped" the way yours did. Lights also did not blink "properly."
There was a fault in the driver's door latch which my dealer found and replaced. Problem solved.
Also had the dealer reprogram the CLS so that the doors would lock immediately and but relock if stopped and door opened temporarily after driving off again per the manual.
