This is not a probability of success.

These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

My Alarm goes off after locking. I've read through the numerous previous posts here on the subject, and I have both a new radio and a new center console. Double-checking the ground on the radio makes sense. However, how is the center console status checked? When I replaced my console the only wire I connected is for the light bulb for the ashtray. Is there a way to disable the alarm remove a fuse or something else?

POST 2Original post

Why disable the entire security/immobilizer system? Why not fix it? There is a microswitch on the console latch mechanism.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I consider the removal of something that's unnecessary fixing.

POST 4Original post

You''ll be disabling the sensing of closure of the Frunk, Engine lid, and doors just to avoid fixing the radio ground and center console wire?

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 17176985

yes, well maybe if it can be done.. Again removing the alarm is fixing the problem. No alarm module = no alarm sound. Here is something that will really blow your mind....For the past 3 months, I haven't locked it.

POST 6Original post

Cut the wires in the frunk to the alarm horn. Problem solved.

POST 7Original post

I purposely disconnected the connector to the microswitch in the center console. I prefer the beep to just flashing lights when arming my alarm.

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

So if it's disconnected it won't trigger the alarm? If that's the case then it's my radio.
