Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi - I've searched the forums and can't fins anyone with the same issue. Passenger window on 996 cabriolet - drops 10mm, as soon as I unlock the car with the remote fob. It remains in the slightly lower position for a long time, sometimes - it randomly when driving - goes back up to the door closed position. It goes up too, as soon as I lock the car using the remote fob. Please - help me figure out what to try first in order to fix. Thank you Dan

POST 2Original post

There is a small microswitch on the door handle that is probably sticking or is flaky (highly technical term). It is replaceable. You have to remove the door card to get to it. If I was going to remove the door card, I would get a new door handle microswitch and just replace it.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
