Just purchased a 05/1999 c2 cab with 97,000 miles on it. I have no history on the car. All the electronics work, including the top. I pulled all the tires off, and inspected all the tie-rods, ball joints, control arms, brakes. So far I can't see anything wrong. No leaks, shifts good. I have it up in the air. Want to tackle Ims. Does the 996 have a local club in the Detroit area?

Regarding this..."Does the 996 have a local club in the Detroit area?"... I would recommend the Rally Sport Regional Events. Very good group of people. I don't think you can go wrong with any of the PCA groups, the key is just that you participate... http://rsp.pca.org/
