Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

My plan was to use the stock hardware and push/press new bushing but the ball joints are not removable which forces the purchase of new control arms.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have searched rennlist but have not been able to find the answer: I have a 2000 911 C2 with 50K. I am in the process of installing the M030 ROW kit that I ordered from Gert. I thought I would refresh the other moving suspension components (Control Arms) as well. The prices for control arms and related hardware are all over the board. My plan was to use the stock hardware and push/press new bushing but the ball joints are not removable which forces the purchase of new control arms. Anyone have experience with the brands listed on Rock Auto's site (DORMAN, RO, MEVOTECH, MAS, or BECK/ARNLEY)? Recommendations? http://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/p...trol+arm,10401

POST 2Original post

Vertex/EPS makes a LCA with a replaceable ball joint... They sell for $149 - 189. This might be worthwhile for a car with only 50k on it. Otherwise, the OE/OEM parts are very similar - I would buy at the mid price as opposed to going with the least or most expensive...but that's just me... Good luck

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

My plan was to order the LCA /w ball joint from Vertex/EPS. I ended up ordering 4 Meyle Lower Wishbone Control Arms and 4 EPS Forked Control Arms. I am not tracking the car but also want to maintain the 'Porsche' suspension. Hopefully I made the a good choice
