Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I will also look to change the wheels to either some form of split/BBS or Geniune GT3.
Leading evidence: 'Replace wheels' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Replace wheels' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Although I've always wanted the GT3 aerokit, the price of the genuine decklid with proper GT3 rear spoiler is insane and I just could never justify it.
However, browsing e-bay the other day, I happened to stumble a specialist selling the full kit, in silver, in great condition. I phoned them up, agreed a price and it was bought. I assumed I would still have to re-paint it, but on arrival I was surprised that it's a perfect colour match - win!
Before:
After:
The bumper has a few stone chips, as to the front of the skirts. I wouldn't be 100% happy with the standard of paint on the decklid, however it's more than acceptable and I will save to have everything made perfect next year.
I will also look to change the wheels to either some form of split/BBS or Geniune GT3.
Cheers
Keith
Can anyone with the same decklid tell me what seal is used? (the one that meets the bumper), my standard one won't fit, but OPC today told me it's the same part number? There's no slots on the decklid for it to clip into (it's a genuine decklid)
The MKII wing is just awesome.
Depending on how fast you drive, you may want to invest in some shims for the wing. The 8-degree shims generate a lot more downforce than you'd imagine possible for a hunk of orange plastic.
Well played, sir. This nice thing about Arctic Silver being so common is that there are lots of parts preprinted to match.
I picked up a genuine GT3 lid with a nice carbon RS wing on ebay for $600. Bolted right on.
Of course, now I'm stuck with having to get the air intake over to the other side of the engine compartment to line up with the lid...
Few more:
I've ordered up a GT3 RS splitter, and will be collecting the decklid loom and new carrera badge from Porsche Belfast on tuesday.
Cheers
Keith
I agree. I can't stand the profile of the taco spoiler, although I understand that some folks think a MKII wing on a MK1 996 is some kind of abomination. They're wrong, but I do recognize that they have an opinion.
Initially I wasn't a fan of our 911s with an aero kit but, I've recently grown to like the look, and yours does look very nice. Out of curiosity , what kind of weigh twould you guess was added with the tail, rockers, splitter etc. over stock?
I would think that the only weight added will be the rocker panels as the front bumper is almost the same as the non aero if not lighter and the tail is carbon fiber which I think weighs less then the stock.
The Decklid including spoiler at a guess is half the weight of a standard decklid. The front bumper probably weighs the same, and the skirts are pretty light.
Overall I'd imagine it hasn't added any weight to the car at all.
Car feels super stable now at higher speeds, really pleased with it. Next up is some spacers then eventually some genuine GT3 wheels.
Keith
IMHO, it went from a "plain" looking Porsche (if you can call a Porsche "plain"), to one that truly stands out and looks much more aggressive. I do have to agree with Riddler, though. I've never been a big fan of those wheels.
Overall, awesome job!
it is all of course up to the owner, but if I may sugest one option...
some wheel spacers would make it almost perfect
this might be one of the "local" cars (rennlist)
