This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hello everyone. I just picked up a 996 C2 with Brembo Big Brake Kit (Gran Turismo). The previous owner removed the spare tire + trunk carpet + tool/jack kit for mass savings. But I'd like to have a piece of mind and have some sort of spare tire. Does anyone have a similar situation as I do and know if the OE spare tire will clear BBK? Also, if anyone lives near North Phoenix, I'd love to see if I could fit your spare tire on my car as a mock-up before i purchase a used spare tire. Thanks.

POST 2Original post

I don't know about fit for the spare tire, but brace yourself for the cost of a used spare. The tires themselves are long out of production and spares are in demand because if not fully inflated they last only a few miles, especially when used for a rear tire.

Hey thanks for the reply. I've looked a little online and at local yards. You are right they are not cheap. I'm wondering if I should just look for a OE front wheel, but I'm not sure if it would fit in trunk.

If you have a reason to remove your front wheel, good time to try
