My vote is the AOS but it's worth cleaning off the area and check the scavenger pump as well.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

9 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi, When looking underneath the car today, I noticed quite a bit of sweating on the driver's rear side . Here is a photo. Any idea what this could be ? Thanks!

POST 2Original post

I would inspect the hose between the AOS and the top of the engine

POST 3Original post

+1 .....especially on the 996.1 models

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

It is a 996.2 (c4s). Is there a part number for it? Also, how much work is it to replace? Thanks!

POST 5Original post

Oh ok, well, in that case I take back my " +1" ........need more/better pictures.....

POST 6Original post

I still think it is most likely related to the AOS. Replacement is doable but not real easy with the engine in the car. Lower the engine onto the crossbar. One of the mounting bolts is difficult to get to. If you replace it, replace it with The UAOS. Also, change the coolant reservoir while you are there if it has not been recently changed and if it has a yeoolowish tint to the plastic. Good luck with the repairs. Mark

POST 7Original post

My vote is the AOS but it's worth cleaning off the area and check the scavenger pump as well. it's the large round port on the backside.

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks for all the answers folks! Today I saw 2 drops on the driveway. :/ I was able to get a better view of the sweating/leak. It seems to be coming from high up. Leak is coming from up high The black hose all the way in the back seems to be the potential problem. Does anyone know where that goes ? Here are a couple of photos. The hose in the back of engine seems 'wet', can anyone say what that hose is for ? Thanks!

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Got an even better look... this is behind the coolant reservoir.... Is the reservoir leaking ? There is a wet spot on the right side...

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
