Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

According to this: The length of 1 piece LCA is 305mm from center of inner joint to center of ball pivot. (996 341 105 07). I scaled the image and it is roughly 360mm end to end. How does this compare to the 2 piece LCA? (996 341 053/054 91) This image using a 15mm shim, and looks very close, but due to lens distortion I can't actually tell if they are different. Has anyone compared when swapping to the 2 piece? Thanks, Andrew

POST 2Original post

They are different length as they are used to achieve increased negative wheel camber. For that they need to be longer. Unfortunately I can't say by how much.

POST 3Original post

There r also several different length factory and aftermarket uniball sections that u can buy. The old one is an unknown brand and the new is Demon Speed. I think the 991 units r even longer. It all depends on the amount of camber u want.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Found this today: You Tube Really looks like the difference is in the thickness of shim.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
