Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I am looking at replacing the Bose amplifier in my car, it is pre fiber. I have an amplifier on hand that I think may work but was looking for feedback. it is a kicker KXA800.5 https://www.kicker.com/kxa8005-hybrid-5-channel-amplifier-with-400-watt-subwoofer-channel would this work? I assume I would need a custom harness.

POST 2Original post

The factory speakers are 2 ohm, if u are just putting in the amp, you wont get any good out of it

The Kicker amp the OP asked about is rated for 2 Ohms so it will work. What do you mean by won't get any good out of it? Is the Bose amp 100 watts or more per channel? Does the Bose amp have an unusual input impedance or other reason replacing it with an aftermarket amp won't work?

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
