Make no mistake, I'm buying them for the bitchin look of a two piece rotor.....and running from the cops now and then

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I want to source two piece front rotors in 330 or 350 mm dia and machine the appropriate spacers for my stock calipers (and find some longer caliper bolts.) Anybody do this? Comments or concerns?
Sorry, not much help. I remember that someone mentioned a kit..rotors, caliper spacers and longer bolts. Also should consider upgrading the calipers to a larger type that will take advantage of the larger rotor sweep area. Sebro? I really can't remember. Maybe search this forum for larger or upgraded brakes.
Look up this guy on rennslist.

several of us have bought his front big rotor kit. It uses panarama rear rotors. U can get them as standard or girodisk in a 350mm. Its a little pricy for just spacers but much cheaper then developing it yourself.
Big brakes look cool so I wouldnt say pointless. I would say... stock brakes are pretty ****ing good - not much of a performance benefit until your beating the **** out of them.
Even then... Im still trying to get to a driving level where I feel the stock setup is holding me back, I think it still a long way away.
granted they look good, but I'm not sure an extra 20mm or so make a huge difference in the visual, especially with stock calipers. I think too many people are under the false impression that larger rotors will stop the car shorter or feel better.
yes, of course they help with heat dissipation, but I also think if you are pushing stock calipers to the point of failure (with decent fluid), you may have an issue with your driving style. There are guys with Spec caymans or even spec boxsters (which have small rotors) with just good pads, fluid and sebro rotors that haul some serious ***.
All true. Heavy/late breaking doesnt make u fast on the track. But i found out at watkins glen that sometimes u dont have a choice because of a pass or a bad driver puts u off line and that extra level of upgrade may just save your a$$.
