Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

You can test this by pushing whatever memory setting your currently saved on and my guess is it will turn the mirror in.

I would than re-save your settings using a different memory save number.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I need Help:
My 2000 Porsche 911 996 C2 Cab has an issue. When I put the car in reverse the passenger side mirror goes down very slowly (I'm OK with that), but the driver side mirror turns in after about 30 seconds and stays in. I have memory seats. I have tried to disable the passenger side mirror tilting but can not. Has anybody heard of this with driver side mirror? How do you turn off the mirror tilting? also my key fob is not working. Thanks ArtinNC See youtube of mirror below:

The memory "remembers" the mirrors in both drive and reverse. If you don't want it to change when you go into reverse
1 put the car in reverse and wait for the mirrors to change
2 manually change the mirrors back to what you want
3 save the "new" position
M
Thanks for the Reply:
I try it and both mirror still moved. The driver side mirror dose not move until you put it in 1st gear and then it turns
in
(not down). The driver side mirror only dose it after you are in reverse, if you start out 1st it does not do it. What do you think?
sounds like it may be trying to "remember " the drive position. You can test this by pushing whatever memory setting your currently saved on and my guess is it will turn the mirror in.
At this point there are a couple of things Id do regardless. If you have a durametric Id clear out all the seat and mirror memory.
I would than re-save your settings using a different memory save number. If you dont have a durametric Id just try and re-save the settings you want to a different number and use that memory number as the default

Thanks M:
I do not have a durametric, but I have Fox OBD2 with porsche 996 software. I reset all 3 memory buttons and they all work until I put it in reverse, the driver side mirror still turn-in after you take it out of reverse. The Fox OBD2 has "no fault" Seat Memory Control, But when I try to work the mirror and trough the Fox OBD2 it does not work. should it? Should I take it to my porsche Indy mechanic and have the codes cleared and/or remove the memory switch and clean it. or something else
?
Hmmmmm. Do the mirrors turn in when the memory is totally cleared? If so that sounds like a "brain" problem.
I have never tried to move the mirrors with the durametric but my understanding is that you can.
