Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have developed a squeak in the right front suspension(or so it seems). Worse when that corner is under load Worse in cold weather No always there(big bumps - no sound, little ripples - squeak) Had the dealer give the suspension a look and they state that all is in good condition. Any other ideas 2003 C4S

Sounds like a squeaky ball joint. You can put a tiny slit in the boot and squirt in some corrosion-x to see if it goes away. Same symptoms i had; it was my lower ball joint. After you go for a drive and park, does it make the sound if you push down a little on the front fender? Mine did if you moved it just a little. Pushing a lot wouldnt replicate the noise. Apparently somewhat common

Does it sound like this?? Check out post #7 https://rennlist.com/forums/996-foru...end-noise.html

POST 5Original post

Holy Crap! I can't believe I just posted this https://rennlist.com/forums/996-foru...uspension.html ... Ooops I guess I should have read the first twenty posts before writing my own... (not) anyway, my squeak/creak whatever you want to call it was actually pretty easy to figure out...good luck

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I am unable to replicate the sound on a stationary car. Does not squeak when turning the wheel. So still not sure. Will try the ball joint lube suggestion and see what happens. Thanks for the comments

POST 7Original post

Mine didn't squeak when turning the wheel, but did when pushing down on the front fenders (like in the video). I used a syringe to Squirt some super lube into the boot. Zero groaning now. The downside is that I now hear new noises R
