Hi guys, just wanted to post that I have put 30,000 miles on the car since I bought her in 2012(started at 47,000 and just turned 77,000 yesterday). Still on the original IMSB!!! Without knowing what to expect with this being my first Porsche and all of the hype on the 996. I would like to report that this car has been great. I still haven't had to take it in for anything. So far I've done the 60k tune up, a window regulator and a spring in the door handle. Along with a new baffle under the spoiler and a front cross brace. Otherwise it's just been oil changes, tires and cleaning the rads. OK lots of washing and waxing. This site has beneficial and I have learned a ton from you guys. Thanks for the guidance and info to keep her jamming down the road. Great group

I've had mine for a year now and the only money - other than preventive maintenance - I've spent on repairs has been <$100 for a oil pressure sensor. So far so good.

Hell this could have been my posting. My first Porsche. Got it in 2011 with 45000 on it. Now at 75000. A 99 Cab with original IMSB. Nothing major in repairs and running sweet as a nut. Do all my own DIY and on top of the maintenance of the car. Best car (by far) I ever owned. Don't plan on ever selling it. to Ferdinand Porsche.

Congrats. You bought a good car and drove it like it should be. Well maintained and well used, these cars are wonderfully reliable. Anyone who tells you differently is either misinformed or trying to sell you something to "fix" your car.
