Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I used a pipe or fencing material wrapped with pipe insulation.
Leading evidence: 'Use pipe or fencing material wrapped' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Use pipe or fencing material wrapped' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Just throwing it out there.
Anyone want to sell me yours.... for cheap? ;-)
My car's hardtop is taking up floor space and I want to hang it up on the wall.
I made a ceiling hanging system with $30 or $40 worth of parts from Home Depot. Obvious pulleys, carabineers and rope. It has a rear hook and in the front a bar connected on the outer ends. I used a pipe or fencing material wrapped with pipe insulation. It's tied off with a nautical type cleat. I can lower it and raise it by myself. I barely remember it as my top has been hanging there a few years.
Thanks guys! But i really want this mounted on a wall since I dont have much room above the car to hang it due to the garage door and the stuff that holds the garage door opener.
I read that the top weighs less than 100 lbs. I wonder if the OEM wall mount hold the top by the two hard top mounts? Or does the bottom of the wall mount support all the weight?
Can anyone with the OEM wall mount please tell me where the entire weight of the hard top rests?
Many thanks again...
Cheers,
-K
It is kind of like that, fbp111. And I cannot reverse the car all the way to the inside of the garage due to the steps that lead to inside the house.
I am thinking of making something with "V" shaped hook at the top that will hold the top on the wall by the mounts and rest it in the bottom on something.... all cushioned in the right places of course.
