Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Looking for some tips on repairing the areas on my seatbacks where the paint has been chipped off. Anyone else had this problem ?

POST 2Original post

I would say you have 4 options. 1. Do it yourself with touchup paint from paintscratch.com or somewhere similar. 2. Do it yourself with disassembly of seat, sanding, and full respray of seat back. (Paintscratch spray cans or rent/buy a spray rig somewhere and buy paint from a body shop supply store.) 3. Take the car to a body shop. 4. Disassemble the seat and take the seat back to a body shop. So, how much of project are you up for?

POST 3Original post

Mine are still in ok condition but plan to do a vinyl wrap as my kids generally tend to touch the backs with their feet sitting in the back. Just throwing out another option...

Alpine, you could get your kids special "car shoes" to fix that!

LOL, haven't thought of that.

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I was thinking of going the touch up route as that is a lot less work. Will see what I can find that's a close match.

POST 7Original post

I was really pleased with the match I got from paintscratch.com for Seal Grey. I would recommend them. Just know that with metallic paint you'll have to shake the heck out of it to get the metallic mixed correctly.
