Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hey guys, So my clutch pedal (when my foot is nowhere near it) is feeling like it is wiggling. Side to side and up and down a little bit. Maybe a half an inch of play in the four directions. Any idea? Thanks.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Joe, Thanks for the reply. After the initial "crap there is something wrong with my clutch" shock has worn off I am driving my car and the clutch pedal isn't really spongy, it is just as I initially said (movement left to right and up/down). This initial play when depressing the clutch is what I think makes me believe it is "spongier" than usual. Is there a way to replace just the bushings? Any DIY tech articles you may know of on replacement procedure? I'm having trouble finding anything.

POST 6Original post

By any chance did you remove the clutch pedal assist spring? Because it does take some slack out while the pedal is "at rest."

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hello, Car does not need a clutch. It was replaced at 38,000 miles and now has 50,000. I have tested the clutch since the pedal situation, and it grabs great from 2nd to 6th. I have not removed the spring!
