Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion
Maybe you left the key in the start position too long and spun the starter over run clutch a bit?
Leading evidence: 'Run clutch a bit' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Run clutch a bit' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I stalled the car today and after restarting it sounded horrible for around two seconds. It wasn't "holy sheet the car is going to grenade" horrible but it didn't sound normal; like a box of rocks and some rattling. I've stalled it a handful of times with similar restart sounds and I am guessing this is normal (the restart sounds, not the stalling.....
).
For all who stall theirs from time to time do you notice the same?
I have stalled my care before. No shame in that Hurdi, and all of my cars except one have been manuals since i was 16. When I stalled and restarted the engine was just hard to turn over, kind of like the battery was dieing on me. But no sounds or rough idle.
Don't stall either one all that often. When it happens I'm either not paying attention or really tired.
Can't recall the engine making any horrible noise at the restart. Maybe you left the key in the start position too long and spun the starter over run clutch a bit?
Ha!..... It doesn't happen often; at least once-twice a year for some unknown reason.
Thank you all for the responses. No issues with the car and anything I heard was momentary.

...I would say your description was accurate in the sense the restart was slightly difficult to turn over and what I heard was different than normal start up. Note to myself...don't stall it any more!
Oh, and will stalling the car cause the IMSB to explode? Kidding......
That's some hardcore smack talk from a guy who put his 996 into a wall...backwards...
While you're always welcome to unleash a semi-intelligible stream of profanity, be advised that I'm just giving you a little crap.
I figure that oversteer incident was probably caused by the imbalance due to the massive collection of badging on the rear deck lid, and not indicative of poor driving on your part.
Yes , I'll admiy , I have stalled occasionally, and yes , I've heard a rattle - not sure why that should be ...but doesn't seem to be any problem - my recent UOA was clean ....
The hard turn over of the engine could be from compression build up in the cylinders?....
maybe someone with more knowledge can chime in.
At least that's what it is on my CRF450R. Its a bitch to kick over when the engine is hot and you stall it.
