Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi everyone, I recently purchased 996.1 C4 with mostly manual seats. The only power control is the seat recline. When I use the manual switch at shoulder level to pull the seat forward and get to the back seats, should the whole seat move forward, or just the seat back? Im only finding that my seat backs tilt forward but the bottom of the seat stays in place. With most coupes Ive had the whole seat moves forward (along with the seat back tilt), so Im wondering if something is broken. Thanks!

POST 2Original post

The base of mine stays in place. Only the seat back tilts.

POST 3Original post

just the seat back should move, the bottom stays in place.
