Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hey all,
Posted this in the GT thread but wanted to see what you guys thought out of curiosity. This is an interesting topic lol. I was just curious if any of you use your GT3, GT3 RS, GT2, Turbo etc.. as a daily driver. Or at least take it out more than often...basically if you don't keep it hooked to a charger in the garage for half a year lol
Been driving my 03 996 Turbo daily since my Boxster is off the road. The Boxster which is my DD is in the shop going on almost 2 months now. (Long story but the short version is I'm having the Boxster instrument cluster "rebuilt". A new cluster is "$2500".)
My work commute is a 30 mile drive to the office and back of course. 'bout the only downside is the Turbo gas mileage sucks. I checked it last night and it was under 19mpg. (On the open highway it can climb to 26mpg.)
Love love love seeing 996TT's on the road.
Exactly, DD'ing these cars (Turbos/GT3's, etc.) shouldn't be deemed sacrileges.
I am selling my 997 and king ranch to clear up space for an addition to the home, so that leaves my wife and I with the S5 and 996. Was super hesitant on letting the diesel go at first, but with 250k I said screw it. I started dd'ing the 996 and I enjoy the hell out of it. These cars were meant to be driven, not dust collectors in the garage.
Gas milage is the only con for me, but hell with that. "It's not a shrine, it's a car, drive it!"
Glad to see folks like you out there
My 2 cars are daily drivers, the only reason I bought either was to drive them. I enjoy both of them very much but on occasion there is a particular reason for choosing one over the other.
I drive everything I own, including a 2003 996TT at the moment. I can't think of a single reason why I wouldn't drive this thing year round. With the correct tires it would be incredible in the snow. It is fun, comfortable, practical, reliable, and considering the power it has, the MPG isn't that bad.
I think this sums it up....140 round trip. I fill up every other day....14-15 gallon fillups per 280 miles. Rain or snow unless we get more than 3-4 inches of snow due to clearance here in the northeast
I daily drive my Turbo, almost 60k miles in the last 3 years. Nearly 87,000 on her now.
I picked up a 6GT3 this Spring to be a garage queen occasional driver that will see 2500-3000 miles per year. Current mileage just passed 8,000 yesterday.
I try to DD my TT whenever possible. But, I don't drive it if there is snow in the forecast or heavy rains. That does not mean I have not driven in rain. I don't mind it getting dirty...
I have a company vehicle that I put my bulk mileage on, but I drive the turbo any time I get a chance. My wife never does without. Milk, sodas, deodorant whatever she needs. A 2 minute errand turns into a half tank of gas and a 30 minute speed fest.
