Any thoughts or comments if I replace the rear with new RE71�s (in stock at Tire Rack) and keep the old RE71�s on the front.

I have been running Bridgestone RE 71�s for last two track day seasons, they have been through many heat cycles and I decided to try Yokohama A052�s.

I have been running Bridgestone RE 71�s for last two track day seasons, they have been through many heat cycles and I decided to try Yokohama A052�s. Tire rack has them on back order so I may not have them for my first track event in two weeks. The rear RE71�s are shot but the fronts still have decent tread. Any thoughts or comments if I replace the rear with new RE71�s (in stock at Tire Rack) and keep the old RE71�s on the front.

I would and wouldn’t be worried about it. Likely worst case, it pushes... they kind of do that anyway though. If you’re worried about them being heat cycled out, take it easy going into turn 1 the first couple laps to get a feel for them.
