I hope that is what the sound is...I have had a low rpm tick for about 9 months now, was hoping it was the belts; nope I changed those along with the pulleys and it is still there, then I thought I should do a cat delete and maybe it is them...nope still here, so idk what it is, going to do my spark plugs shortly.

I have a brand new set off my C4S as well as the exhaust, replaced them with the 200 cell fabspeed xpipes and exhaust.
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi all, looking to sell my cats, willing to ship in the cont US. My FS ad is asking for $600 obo for the pair, however, if this is out of line, please let me know. I just want em' gone.
I may be interested. I'm going to have this coldstart rattle diagnosed once and for all this coming Friday at my independent Porsche mechanic. If it turns out that I have lost one of my catalytic converters and it's making that sound because it's dead, I would be very interested in purchasing at least one of yours.
Thanks,
Bob
Bob, just let me know. I hope that is the problem.
Good luck Friday.
wow 6k, I thought they were only about 1500 each. I have a brand new set off my C4S as well as the exhaust, replaced them with the 200 cell fabspeed xpipes and exhaust. Always wondered what they would be worth.
No wonder I'm getting so many info request PM's. I'd rather move them quickly than hold long, they are just taking up space. Plus I would hate to have to spend even 1500 a side (per Jumpers response) for new ones, let alone 6k !!!! For that much, I'd be looking at a turbo kit.
I don't know if they will fit physically but:
1) the locations of the O2 sensors are different so the O2 wiring will be an issue
2) MkII is 3.6 so .2L more exhaust gas to process. The cats are designed for a specific capacity.
COmfmurphy, I just left a visitor message, I cannot PM you as you only have 2 posts. if you see this, or that message, please email me william r 91 @ aol.com (without the spaces). I can have these shipped as soon as payment is received.
colmfmurphy at the yayhoo club...
Hope that makes sense...
I was going the carnewal route but if some of these other ones will work, i'll do that instead.
I'm waiting on the pair I bought on here.
Once I pass CA smog, my plan is to shelve those good ones and put my old ones back on until the next smog in two years...and so on...
I'll keep you in mind if things change...
Thanks
Bump taking to the scrap yard by Friday, will take any offer over what the scrap yard is paying; Id prefer these actually get used and not melted down.
