Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. Don't stress, paintless dent repair can work miracles.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Boo
Had it parked at a friend's house on the street last weekend and got 3 dings from hail. Not a huge deal, not enough to call my insurance, but still kinda bummed.
I will post pics, but yeah, that's what happens to a daily driver.
=(
I had hail damage on mine last spring. Insurance sent an adjuster out and sent me a check for $2,600 ($3,600 minus $1,000 deductible). I had a friend of the museum who is a PDR guy tell me that if I could wait for all of the insurance work from the hail storm to die down, he'd take care of me. I waited until October and he fixed all the hail damage plus a couple of door dings for $500. Did a great job, also. Had him work on the paint too - he charged me $125. This is what it looked like afterwards:
That hail damage ended up being a godsend. Oh, and I envy the hell out of all of you guys. I really, really miss the 996.
Don't stress, paintless dent repair can work miracles. Mine was totally pocked by a hail storm and it came back better looking than it went in. These are certified centers.

Bought my XK8 new in Oct 98. In May 99 we got the worst hail storm this area has seen in the 30 years I've lived here. Neither of our offices were hit, but neither of us drove it that day. Insurance quoted me to do PDR, but I took it to a body shop that since become a good friend. Halfway through the roof we gave up counting at 150 dents. Chris had a good laugh over the PDR quote.
A crap ton of (insurance) money and 6 months later it had one original panel (drivers door) and looked as good as new.
So I feel for the OP. Hail sucks

The main ones are on the back panel that moves for the sunroof. Shouldn't be hard to take off and bring to a shop - which is another reason I'm not too worried about it. There maybe one or two other really minor dings on the body, but with those, and as a daily driver, I'm not concerned.
Sadly, both the Jeep and Jetta have some really minor dings. Nothing to get worked up about, but still.
Had abt 50 large dings all over the frunk hood, top, sunroof, side panel that was facing west, and my wife's POS pickup truck parked about 10 ft away, not a mark. We had two beaters parked in that same driveway for a combined 20 years, not a pock mark.
I can only conclude that the hail gods tend to seek out the tastiest cars; so consider that their seal of approval that you have a sexy rideT

damn alpine....you found my old zenith C2.
Buyback was 7k and i didn't want to deal with it and it went to auction. It sold for 6.3k? or something like that. It looks like engine/tranny's gone and just the shell left. That was a solid car with 172k on it
