Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.
Discussions that contain suggestions
1
0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Suggestion
Car Guy law says "If/when you purchase a very fine used car from a parent or older brother, you MUST continue to provide said vehicle with obsessive/compulsive maintenance." Really.
Leading evidence: 'Use car' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Use car' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi guys, my first real post here!
I've been active on the Pelican forum for 17 years and used to have an '82 911SC. I sold that in 2013 and bought and built a track-only 2005 supercharged Lotus Elise which I recently had enough of the track/trailer lifestyle and sold.
I just purchased a 2003 911 Carrera from my Dad (don't worry I'm not a teenager, I'm 42 years old). The car is very nice w/ 20K original miles. I have some questions I'll post in another thread, here are a couple pics of the car.
Thanks, the car is largely as it left the factory.
It has kind of neat options combo (below from the original window sticker):
Metallic paint
Sport seats graphite grey full leather
18" Carrera alloy wheels with colored Porsche crest centers
Xenon headlight package
Special chassis rigidly tuned
Heated front seats
PSM
Bose stereo
PSE (Porsche Sports Exhaust)
Center console and seat backs painted to match exterior color
Instrument dials painted to match exterior color
Porsche crest in headrests
Flared rocker panels
Deviating carpet color and floor mats in Metropol blue
Great-looking car, congrats! Only 22K miles? I always wonder why people buy these cars and then don't drive 'em. Excellent that the previous owner preserved the car for you!

That won't be a problem, I am way more OCD about my cars than my Dad is. I've already had this one up on jackstands and have a laundry list of little bits to address.
Welcome to Rennlist! Glad to see you're active over on our forum. 20k original miles and it's a Colorado car? Assuming he was the original owner? Looks like your dad took great care of it. As always, we are here if you need anything. Enjoy your new P car.
Thanks! The history of the car is not completely documented but from how nice the car looks it's clearly had an easy life. It was originally sold by a dealer in South Carolina, then spent several years in Oklahoma, then to Colorado where a guy in Denver owned it who my Dad bought it from two years ago. So I think I am the fourth or fifth owner, not clear in the records but Carfax says 4 owners. Normally that would make me uneasy but the car is super clean and a local Porsche independent shop did the IMS bearing upgrade recently and said the car was in really good shape mechanically. From the looks of the car I doubt it's ever seen winter/snow and not much rain.
Hi Nick Welcome to the Rennlist 996 group. I am the fellow you communicated with in November about my 1965 Corsa Turbo on CorvairCenter!

Welcome to Rennlist Nick. You have a beautiful 996. Mine was a '03 too. Great cars!
Cheers!
Oh btw, you should haven't any problems with your 996 if it doesn't have a VIN that starts off with WP0.
