Friends, All operations of the seat works EXCEPT leaning backward. It works back and forth. The backrest goes forward but doesnt lean backwards. And so now no one can sit in it, since I have it leaning forward all the way. Any help would be appreciated.

I would think either the switch itself or the motor for recline is blown/disconnected. May want to remove the seat and check the connections under it.

Failure to do the above will trip the airbag light, which needs a Porsche scanner (e.g., Durametric ) to reset.

Hi Guys thanks a ton for the response. I gathered courage from the advice you provided and began to work on the seat. After a lot of contemplation, I took a chance and removed the Seat Switch, which is on the side for the passenger seat. 2 tiny screws. I took out the switch and studied the "long" vertical **** and noticed a plastic piece was broken. I will post pictures soon. Can someone tell me where I can find a replacement? I looked at some sites and it says around 600 dollars!! Please advise. I am open to creative ideas too. :-)
