Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

IIRC, since you park outside, I would strongly recommend a paint coating after the polish to keep the paint looking nice.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi, looking to get my car detailed sometime soon. Can only do so much with my hands
Any recommendations on places in the Chicago area/Suburbs that you guys have used?
Unless a fellow rennlister wants to do the job who is in the area
Thanks in advance!
If you need paint correction though, be prepared to shell out over $1k as a heads up.

Paint is not too bad, needs a good buffing with a machine and definitely a coating put on. Was thinking maybe Cquartz.....not sure if Klasse makes anything
You're very welcome. He's been doing my Porsches the past several years. Very pleased. He does the nano coatings now, and I really like my OptiCoat Pro.
The final product is important, but the prep and paint correction is the key. For all products. Done right, your car will look better than new.
If given the option, I would opt for CQuartz. The color will look a bit deeper compared to Opti Coat. Both great products though. If your Detailer is authorized to sell and install CQuartz Finest I highly recommend that particular coating.
Gator knows his sheeeeeet. And I think Lustr offers CQuartz.
My car was done right after delivery in April 2014. I plan to have the car done again this fall prior to winter hibernation.

I just put cquartz UK on my black targa. It made the paint darken a bit and I really like the shine. The prep is key. You don't want to lock in any swirls under the coating. I am no pro but I spent a good 20 hrs on my polisher with a super fine polish (rupes white) getting it perfect. It was worth it.
Great question Lex. Since they are two different technologies, I don't know how well they would play together. I would would pick one or the other. That being said, Opti Coat will give the white a more pure look while CQ will add a bit of depth.
If you are doing the work yourself the CQ UK may be your best option. Opti Coat has changed their policies and the way they distribute. CQ. UK is a direct order and readily available. It's also pretty darned easy to install.
So, if it were me, I would get the Opti off and CQ it. But, if the Opti is still holding up, correct it lightly and keep it.
We recommend Elite Treatment in Schaumburg area, every time we need anything we use these guys. Brandon is very thorough and quality oriented, they offer lots of cool options, including body wraps. Check our their Facebook profile for more details and pictures of their work:

I've used Ivan at Lustr and could not be happier. I'm actually working with him now to schedule some work on my other car. I had him do the C Quartz and it has been great. I have a few posts here of videos if you want to take a look.
