I use 303 Protectant on vinyl and trim a lot -- love the UV protection in addition to the "low shine" look.

Suggestion
I don't think standard 303 is recommended for leather, but 303 now makes a separate Leather all-in-one cleaning/conditioning/protection product.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Doing a little detail work on my 00 Cab with leather dash and I see there are some expensive ceramic leather coatings offering UV protection that also repel dust and liquids. Is this just using a buzzword to charge a lot more? I've always just lightly cleaned and conditioned the dash the same as my seats but maybe it should be treated different since it isn't subject to flex or friction. Anyone have any experience? I expect "ceramic" would be fairly permanent too.
Here's a couple specific products on Amazon but there are a ton more:
GYEON Quartz LeatherShield
GYEON Quartz Q LeatherCoat
While I don't have experience with leather ceramic coatings, I'd have to say that Quartz coatings are typically more expensive as it's usually a higher quality coating. There are a couple other guys that probably chime in that detail as their side hustle and do amazing work.
Have not run it on my dash. Have run it on my seats. Holds up very well. Is hydrophobic. Makes seat cleanup easier. I don't use it on my Porsche though as it sees less miles. On my daily drivers is where I use it. I've only used CQuartz Leather. Not the Gyeon version, although I've been happy with the Gyeon products I've used in the past.
Another detailing product I didn't know I needed.
There's a blurb here --

-- that covers why you may want one over the other.
Had good luck with other Gyeon products. Detailed Image is a good vendor too, pretty much next-day delivery for me outside of Boston.
Thanks for this link. Reading it, I went with the Leather Coat putting off the Ceramic version for now also noting they mention the "Coat" is better for DIY. Appying, the smell caught me by surprise, full strength JNJ baby powder. Would not have been happy if this smell didn't disipate but it did and hopefully without any asbestos residue. It dried to a matte finish and hopefully it does what it is suppost to.
Leather is skin and skin has pores. I'd be concerned about clogging them with silica that's in the ceramic solution. Very few professional detailers use it I think and ceramic is being thrown at everything now. I'd just use a quality leather cleaner and condition the leather every few months to keep it hydrated and supple.

I've used the 303 Leather product and it's pretty good. My usual "go to" if there are no issues is Lexol cleaner and conditioner, but the 303 Leather is quite good for a quick leather treatment.
