Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi I have been searching unsuccessfully for an answer through all the fan related threads. Apologies if I missed the answer to my question! After testing the fans I identified that the drivers side one only runs when the Stage 1 is on, but stops running when stage 2 is engaged. I understand that if stage 2 works but stage 1 does not, it can be fixed with the resistor replacement, but I cannot find if the same applies for the opposite scenario. Do I need to change the fan or can the resistor be the cause? Thanks in advance!

POST 2Original post

Most likely the resistor pack. If o recall Ot is temperature dependent. When mine went I just replaced the fans and resistor packs for peace of mind. This was almost 2 yrs ago now so prices may be higher today. This guy on renntech had the easiest how to and troubleshooting guide. May be a cheap fix if you can solder and are handy. I’m on a mobile device so don’t have much more detail. Hope that helps. Link. https://www.renntech.org/topic/40839...-step-by-step/
