Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi all, (Cross-posting from the 996T forum as I'm almost positive we have the same bits) My clutch pedal has an ridiculous amount of left/right play and I'm inclined to blame the bushings. While I'm under there replacing my clutch master cylinder (fun), can anyone offer guidance around how to get the clutch pedal out of the car? I can't seem to find anything in the factory repair manual. Do I need to undo the brake pedal side of it and slide the whole pedal axle out? Also, is there an improved solution for this part? My car has 65k miles on it and I've never need to do this with any car I've ever owned...like, in my life. Thanks, Dave

POST 2Original post

U basically have to get the nut off the piviot rod and then unscrew the rod. Here r a couple pic. I would pull the entire thing as an assembly.
