Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Any way to use the central rad kit for 997 on a 996? Maybe get the kit and get the 996 hoses?

POST 2Original post

Pelican sells the 996 kit. All 3 radiators and the parts.. I got the kit,, once I saw it in person,, Its hard to belief that it you do the CSF radiators, that you would even need the center one except for extreme climate or use. The CSF radiators are really dense and look like almost 2x the capacity just based on fin and tube density compared to the stock plastic tank ones.

POST 3Original post

Is there a particular reason you're looking at the 997 set up?

Probably cost, the full kit is available for $220, compared to $750 (IIRC) for the 996 parts.

997 radiators have built in ports for the center radiator to connect to. Thats why its a much simpler install and no hoses are needed. The connections are very different from the 996.

That makes sense and yeah that would be ideal if the mod was simple. That's not bad at all.
