Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

My google-fu is really messed up today. I had a cross threaded lug bolt and was able to repair the hub but now i cant find a single or even a 5 pack of bolts.
I have chrome bolts and they are 17mm head, 14x1.5x28mm, ball seat. I know i can buy a set of 20 for under $30 but i did want the extra 19 bolts.
Anyone have some or come accross any in a small pack
I got rid of the locking lug bolt. I don't ever use those because they break. Bought 4 Porsche bolts at dealer. Was surprised they weren't black. Original bolts were black. So I covered all the bolts with:

Option if you buy a replacement bolt?
I have a bunch of lug bolts.
The ones that came on my car, and some that came with a set of spacers.
I have studs and lug nuts, so I have no need for these.
They’re used, and pretty dark.
But I‘ll send you 4 for free.
It appears that some of my lug bolts are rusted.
Whats the best option - just replace with factory bolts, or strip the existing ones down and paint them?
I assume titanium bolts can also rust and are not worth the extra money (for weight savings)?
I put in the titanium bolts because my original lug bolts were rusted and looked terrible. The titanium bolts do not rust. I put them in several years ago. I could care less about weight.
I got mine from World Motorsports but I'm not sure if they carry them any more. Found some on Pelican Parts. Just do a Google search for Porsche titanium lug bolts. I have 5mm spacers on my front wheels so make sure you take that into account when ordering. BTW, they certainly do not rust, have never come loose, can be torqued the same as regular lug bolts, and not one has broken (as some may have reported).
I used a wire wheel and cleaned off the rust. I didn't have the proper bit for my Dremel to really clean up the centers. I went to three hardware stores and they were either sold out or didn't carry the bits. The Dremel bits section at each hardware store was 80-90% cleared out of stuff. Oh well. Then I sprayed the lug bolts with clear high temp paint.

Do you often keep a supply of hot dog buns in the garage? Never know when the urge to grill will strike!
on a more serious note, I've got the same issue with one if my 996's. The lug bolts are rusty and I'm trying to decide if it makes sense to buy new or clean up the old ones. Yours look great after the clean up.
The fold up table was on the driveway. So yes, we were grilling hot dogs and burgers on the driveway while working on cars! I was going to buy new lug bolts, but my buddy suggested trying a wire wheel first. I was surprised at the results myself.
