Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Leading evidence: 'Check fuzes' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Check fuzes' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

related question if you are familiar on my 99, do I have running DRL?

I am just looking at wiring diagrams and there is a daytime running light relay.

You need to use the light switch to turn on the lights.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

1. This seems basic and i did use search function. but how do I turn on the side marker lights? mine do not appear under any configuration. I am thinking both bulbs are burnt out?
2. related question if you are familiar on my 99, do I have running DRL? It's a Canadian car. When I turn my ignition on no lights are on. And I was under assumption you need DLR to register car in Canada.
Side marker lights should be illuminated when you turn on the headlights. A Canadian car should have DRLs, and it should be the primary headlight bulb.
Check your fuzes. You should also have DRL's. Mine has a jumper as it was a US car - yours may have a double fuze as a jumper and it could also be shorted.
Fuses looked ok so I removed the bulbs both appeared to be burn, I guess i never noticed since both where burned ever since I got the car. I ordered some new amber LED as I am converting those to turn signals.
As far as DRL.. .not sure what is happening there. I am just looking at wiring diagrams and there is a daytime running light relay. I will have to check if my car has that. Not sure that could go bad?
If it is a Canadian car, it will have the double relay for DRL's. When the relay is in place and working, it will turn all your lights on (side markers, tail lights, headlights, licence plate light) and your high beams will work properly. If the relay is removed, when you turn on the car, there won't be any lights on. You need to use the light switch to turn on the lights. When you do this, your high beams will not work properly and your licence plate light will not turn on.
I am curious if your relay is in place and not turning on all your lights when you turn on the car (like it is suppose to), are your high beams and licence plate light working when you turn on your lights?
Rub lightbulbs with wd40?
I have a relay 996.615.111, I took it out and it did not change my lighting situations. So I am assuming it is bad. I will post another thread to see if there is a way to test it to be sure.
