Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

"A" stock usually undergoes a more strict QA and matching to ensure the bulbs and ballast goes comes from the same batch for consistency and meets stricter testing guidelines.

I would use 3m double sided auto body tape or wire ties to mount the ballast to the back of the headlight cover.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hey everyone! I've had HID headlights in all my cars (bmw's, merc's, lotus's). My current ones don't look like they did. I've attached a couple pics. They're projector headlights (I think). I took them out and apart. The only bit of info on the back of the low beam was a sticker labeled as "ES 9DR 151 333-17." I also have Osram H9's for high beams.
I wanted to know if I would be able to get these and make these work...

Any help would be apprecitated, as always!!
The xenons have a different config to address voltage reqmt. Yours look like traditional halogen. No idea on the aftermarket kit. Check return policy in case they dont work!
Do you think I should upgrade to HID's?? By doing that, I don't want to "downgrade" from what I have now inadvertently.
Again, I'm eye balling this kit:

You definitely currently have halogen projector headlights. Using that kit will throw more light onto the road in front of you. What I don't know, is how much of that light will be useable and not blinding oncoming drivers. Putting HID burners in halogen projectors is not ideal and could introduce unwanted consequences.....won't know how bad they are until you try....some are better than others but none are close to OE in terms of good useable light!
You'll be ok upgrading to his bulbs/ballast as the projector and factory scatter shields will prevent any glare. The hot spot of the hid bulb will be in the same position too so no worries there.
Make sure you get a quality "A" stock kit to prevent any headaches. "A" stock usually undergoes a more strict QA and matching to ensure the bulbs and ballast goes comes from the same batch for consistency and meets stricter testing guidelines.
I've been using www.ddmtuning.com since they've opened. The owner is from my hometown. His family actually owns a few hid factories in China and is one of the main distributors here. Majority of the private label hid kits probably came from him but he keeps and sells all the "A" stock ones. Lifetime warranty so can't really go wrong there.
I used them with both my Lotus Elise and Evora....love them but I didn't know they had any kits that fit my 2003 996...? Can u supply a link to the ones that I could use??
Brain fart. You need the H7 rebased bulb when you select bulb type in the drop down since you have the Halogen.
I would use 3m double sided auto body tape or wire ties to mount the ballast to the back of the headlight cover.
