Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I cleaned the area with break cleaner and wiped it down and let it sit for 2 days; stayed dry nothing, took it for a drive and the next morning I can see the drop of oil in the same area as always, didnt hit the floor yet but I can see it.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

1 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hey Everyone, I purchased my 02 C2 in September of last year from a Porsche dealership in Maryland. Before buying the car they did the LN engineering ims, rms and few other things which are unrelated. After bringing it back to NY I noticed an oil leak, so I went to Porsche up here and they honored the work since Porsche worked on it last, turns out the RMS seal was pinched and caused the leak. Not long after that I noticed it was leaking again, I went back to them and they said wouldnt be the rms and it would cost more to go through them so I went to an Indy shop, they opened everything up, RMS wasnt leaking but the seal around the flange was but also the seal for the RMS was pushed in a bit to far so while we were there we did the RMS also along with the flange seal. Now I notice a few drops of oil again. I cleaned the area with break cleaner and wiped it down and let it sit for 2 days; stayed dry nothing, took it for a drive and the next morning I can see the drop of oil in the same area as always, didnt hit the floor yet but I can see it. I cant imagine that its the rms or flange seal again but its coming from that area, I dont drive it as much as I should but I do not know what else can cause this persistent leak. Anyone have any experience with a situation like this ? Sorry, I know a ton of threads like this but I felt this was specific in my own way
