Just pulled into work. As I turned to pull in the garage it sounded like I was dragging a piece of metal under the car. Looked under car and everything looked fine. Engine is perfect at idle. Do I try to drive home later? Any ideas?

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Still not convinced that was the noise.

Hard to tell without hearing the noise if your place at work is safe I wouldn't drive it, if you think it comes from the undercarriage, the car needs to be tow and lifted for a proper inspection
Drove around deck and noise gone. Going straight to shop though.
wow
Had a similar experience that turned out to be a small rock wedged in by the backing plate at the brake rotor.......made a hell of a noise!
Shop said the only thing they could find was a plastic piece came loose and was in the control arm. Screwed it back up for free. Still not convinced that was the noise. It sounded like the mufflers were dragging on the ground.
Sarki I think nailed it. Had this happen to one of my Porsches, twice. First time was a twig. Driving on a side street littered with small twigs courtesy of the aftermath of an ice storm. During a sharp slow speed turn the car started emitting a horrible racket. I guessed what had happened and managed to dislodge the twig by backing the car up and cutting the wheels first one direction then the other. Second time happened when leaving work one evening. While the twig created noise was bad, this time the noise was beyond bad. Tried the same technique as before but with no success. Had to jack up the car and remove the front wheel and pry the splash shield away from the rotor. A small pyramid shaped rock (a bit smaller than a pea) fell out.
+1 Sarki and Macster. And for those of us who drive in the snow, if you park in your garage overnight, the snow on top of your wheels can melt a bit a bit and slide down to the bottom half of the wheel. Then as the temp in your garage drops overnight the snow pack refreezes before your morning commute. You will think you are driving on square wheels until you get rid of that snow packed in the back side of the wheels.

Had this happen with a previous car, thought one of my wheels was about to fall off. When I stopped in my driveway and backed up it must have fallen out because the sounds disappeared
