Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Gang I disconnected one connector(the easy one) just fine but the other goes up behind a control box. How do I remove the box/ connector? Tim

POST 2 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I figured it out. I was over complicating. Remove the 2 T20's and it comes loose

POST 3Original post

1) you probably already know this, and 2) too late if you didn't... ...but you have to be careful that everything is off and/or battery disconnected when pulling the seat or you can trip the airbag light, which then requires a durametric or PIWIS to reset.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yup. Got it! Sport seats are lighter for sure

POST 5Original post

Any interest in selling the control module out of your drivers seat?

Whats the best practice for getting aftermarket seats that dont have support for the weighted airbag feature. I plan on replacing my seats and want to ditch all that nonsense.

POST 7Original post

As long as you use the stock seatbelt receivers and have those plugged in, you won't trip the airbag light when you turn on the ignition. I did this when I had my Recaros in for a short while. OR do what I finally did and just program that airbag out with a PST2 or PIWIS. Now I don't even need to connect any wires down there and it's all good.
