I use Griot's Leather Care (love the smell adn results) but never thought to use 303 on the dash, hmm interesting and thanks for the tip!

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I use Lexol leather cleaner and conditioner. It's great stuff. For stubborn stains, a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser does wonders. Use it carefully, it does have some abrasive properties. It works very well on high touch areas like the steering wheel and gear shift **** when used with some Lexol cleaner.
I've used Lexol and also Sonax. The Sonax stuff is not as shiny as Lexol. I'm about to try Griot's. Stay away from Armor All. I've also done Leatherique on my seats and steering wheel because they have some wear, but I'm not convinced that there was much improvement.
I've never tried Lexol. I've always used McGuire's Rich Leather. It's been good. First, I clean the seats with a damp cloth. Then I get the leather cleaner/conditioner and I use a lot, rub it in by fingers, then let it soak up. Then (5 min later) wipe it down with a soft cloth. For tough stains, I use very small amount of baby shampoo with warm water but spot clean only. I.e. I don't wash the entire area/seat. This has always worked for me.
In other threads on this subject, Leatherique was highly praised and I have used it about three times now.
Its a two step process that starts with feeding the leather and then following up with a cleaner once the feed product brings the dirt, perspiration, and bad stuff to the surface of the leather. One of the things I like about it is that it does not leave the seats greasy. Also, it really seems to bring out the leather aroma of the seats after awhile.
There's lots of stuff for sale and I believe there are several products that do a good job, and there are just as many that do a mediocre job.
I've been using Griot's Interior Cleaner and following up with their Leather Care spray on the steering wheel, shifter and seats. I substitute the Leather Care with 303 Aerospace on the dash to help protect against UV.
I have used Lexol, Zymol and similar. Currently I am using 1Z Einszett products exclusively. Very happy with the leather care product, made my seats much softer and cleaned very well. The cockpit spray is great, too!
+1 for the lexol. I use it regularly on all the cars. The BMW had bolster wear when I got it 80k miles ago and has not gotten any worse in that time. None of my other cars have bolster wear. I believe regular use of a conditioner will prevent most wear.
Lexol fan too, been using for about 5 years on leather jackets, sofa and most recently my pcar.
There is discussion about it weakening stitching, but no events here
+1 for Leatherique........the stuff is amazing, especially on neglected leather.
I apply it annually on my 24 year old Volvo and the seats remained pristine which says a lot as the leather in those cars was notoriously bad.
Applying it to the drivers seat bolster 2X a year on the 996 in hopes of avoiding any serious deterioration.
Give it a shot, I think you'll be very happy with the results.
I use Zymol. I'm a believer after bringing the seats in my '96 Corvette back from the dead. Chevy leather ain't exactly supple to begin with...those seats were like cardboard.
Ultimately, using ANY of the products listed here is much better than not doing anything...I don't think you can go wrong. I'd be a lot more concerned with natural-color leather, but once it's been painted/dyed, it doesn't matter nearly as much.
Leatherique produced this leather on a 25-year old Carrera used as a daily driver and frequently parked in the sun:

. I'm sold. Use A LOT of it, maybe 1/2 cup per seat each time. It looks best after a week or two.
x2
BUT, I will say after trying Leatherique, it seems like it is on the next level above most products. However, personally Leatherique is only justified for me to bring back severely worn/damaged leather. For any good condition leather, any of the leather products will do in maintaining it.
