I forgot to mention that your immobilizer module has only filled two of the four key slots.
Leading evidence: 'Fill two of the four key slots' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Fill two of the four key slots' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

(My keys remote had not been working for the last 48 hours, but I fixed it a few hours ago when I activated it by the A-pillar.
Hey everyone, I need help please.
I'm trying to get the programming code (6-digits) the immo code 16 digits and the remote codes for the keys that are already programmed to the car (24 digits).
I've opened the M535, desoldered and read the 93LC66A eeprom, bin file is attached.
Hope there are some skilled people here who know how to read that from the file.
Thanks in advance!
Programming code: 84 0E 49
Remote Code: 40 01 C9 E8 50 78 2B FF CF 05 3C C0
I dont know what the immobilizer code 16 digits is, sorry!
I think you also have a second remote code, but I think the binary file is partially bad. Can you re-read the eeprom and upload again, so I may confirm?
Thanks so much! I really appreciate it.
I'm not sure I thought the immcode is for programming the immobilizer. It could be also 4 digits.
Dang! I thought it was read correctly, I've already soldered the eeprom back in.
I could give you (what I think is) the second remote code, but if its incorrect it may cause a headache.
May I ask what problem youre trying to solve, and how youre going about it?
edit
: Regarding the 4 digit code - Are you talking about the code for the transponder in the key, so that you can start the engine?
My problem is, I have only one key where the remote is not working anymore since the car hasn't been used for a while and I don't have the 24 digits remote code or any codes at all.
So what I'm trying to do is to reprogram it to the car.
I also have a new key with the 24 digits remote code but it was never paired with the car so I'm assuming I need the code to program the immobilizer for the new key.
At the end of the day I want the old one to work as it was before and the new one too.
Okay. Lets take a step back.
First, if your original key belongs to the car and has always worked with it, then it ought to continue working it as long as you did not replace the immobilizer module. Therefore, I dont think youll need to reprogram that key into the module because it already has its information stored within.
So now you will want to determine why that original key is not working. Simplest step is to check and/or replace its battery. Ive found that my key battery needed to be replaced despite seeing a red light when I pressed a button on it. After changing the battery, my key would lock and unlock my car.
Next youll want to see if the key is outputting a radio frequency signal when a button is pressed. Youll probably have to visit an automotive locksmith for this, because this isnt a tool that people typically use. (You can skip this step if you must, but its very helpful to know that your key is working properly.)
There is an antenna in the A-pillar on the drivers side (Im assuming your steering wheel is on the left!). Bring your key to the base of the A-pillar, where it meets the dashboard, and press a button on the remote.
(My keys remote had not been working for the last 48 hours, but I fixed it a few hours ago when I activated it by the A-pillar. Afterwards, I could lock the car from a normal distance. I dont know why this worked, but it did. However, I did have to replace my key battery.)
There is a TSB to modify the antenna in the A-pillar to extend its range. I suppose this may need to be done, so that you wont need to bring your key to the A-pillar again.
edit: Here is a link to the TSB.

But if you still cannot get the remote to function, (and you know your key is outputting the proper signal) then there must be an issue with the immobilizer module receiving the signal. It may be an issue with the antenna or the module itself. (Thankfully I havent had to diagnose this yet, so I dont know the exact procedure, but Im sure youll need a PIWIS tool, wiring diagrams, a multimeter, and patience.)
Now, with respect to your new, unused key: You will want to find someone with the PIWIS tool to add your new key into your immobilizer module. They will need the programming code (
84 0E 49
) that was read from your eeprom.
But if your car is unable to receive the signals from your keys, then your new key isnt going to be very useful.
Youre welcome. I hope the solution will be quick and easy.
I forgot to mention that your immobilizer module has only filled two of the four key slots. So you can add a total of two new keys if you wish.
Hey buddy,
so I found out the old remote ain't working but with your help I could get the new key programmed to the car and its working fine.
Thanks again!
Darn, too bad about the original remote, but Im happy to hear that you have a functional key. At least the original key can still be used as a spare.
Thank you very much for returning to provide an update!
