This is not a probability of success.

Concluded it was the amp and bought a refurbished one, which solved the problem but the company sent me an amp from a Cayenne which has the same electrical/optical connectors but a different mounting style, so it doesnt physically fit the mount location for the 911.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I posted this in my build thread but double posting here to get more eyes and opinions. For reference, car is a 2003 C4S with Bose and MOST. Everything worked great prior to PCCM+ install - then I had zero sound. Concluded it was the amp and bought a refurbished one, which solved the problem but the company sent me an amp from a Cayenne which has the same electrical/optical connectors but a different mounting style, so it doesnt physically fit the mount location for the 911. Now, I have been messing around with the settings in the PCCM+ and discovered that my rear passenger side speaker is not working at all. I pulled the speaker out and put my ohm meter across it, it measures at exactly 4 ohms. I then shot the wires from the speaker to the amp, they look good at 0.4 ohms. I then shot the speaker wires, with the speaker connected, from the amplifier connector side and got another perfect 4.0 ohms. My conclusion is the amp is bad - is that valid or do you guys have any other suggestions?

POST 2Original post

Swap it with the working side first. Then you can blame the amp.
