Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

- Passenger Door latch replaced 2 years ago, worked fine after the repair
Leading evidence: 'Replace 2 years ago, worked fine' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Replace 2 years ago, worked fine' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I know it's a recurring subjet but I have read the FAQ and I'm familiar with the system but this time I don't get it :
Symptoms:
- Passenger window doesn't drop when you touch inside or outside door handles, also doesn't drop when door is in open position.
- Up and down switch works fine even auto up/down
- I can't force the window to drop by pushing on it, so it doesn't seem like a loose window regulator.
- No window motor noise when opening the door, also doesn't seem like a loose window regulator.
- Interior lights turns on when moving the door handles, makes me think the microswitch works fine.
- No door locking issues like when the door latch went bad.
-I tried resseting the upper and lower window limits and nothing changed.
- Passenger Window regulator replaced a couple years ago, worked fine after the repair.
- Passenger Door latch replaced 2 years ago, worked fine after the repair
I don't know how to diagnose my problem anymore, any idea ??
Thanks
If your observations are accurate ::
Window motor not receiving OR not reacting to drop signal ...
1. Not receiving signal : since lights react to handle lift. the wring to motor may be compromised....Action :: Test wiring to motor
2 . Motor receiving signal but not reacting :: Action :: replace motor
Interior lights turning on when you pull the handle is a bit confounding. Your symptoms suggest that the door latch’s locked/unlocked micro switch is failing and stuck in the locked position. But in that case, the interior lights should not come on.
For reference, the passenger door has 5 micro switches (one in each door handle, one on the outside of the latch and two inside the latch), which provide two state conditions — 1. Door locked or unlocked (purely by two micro switches inside the latch), and 2. Door open or close (door unlocked + one or more of the other three switches).
If door is unlocked and door is open (either door handle pulled or door is actually open), interior lights turning on and window drops. Do lights remain on when door is open?
Do you have a PIWIS? You can test check the actual values of all the signals and verify if it’s a switch problem or a window problem.
I went to check if interior lights remains on when the door is actually open for a long time and it does. Thanks for pointing that out.
Unfortunatly I don't have a PIWIS but the local shop does if I get to that point.
