Two things stand out in my memory- one he used blue painter's tape to mark location of window holding brackets, and the other was he used a silver paint pen to mark the location of the the bottom brackets where they mount to the door sill.

I watched a great video on replacing the window regulator on a 996, but then didn't mark it, and now cannot find it. Can you identify that video? It wasn't the guy on youtube with the cab with tan interior.....and I am almost certain it was a 996 and not a boxster.

In case you can't find the video you're looking for, check out the video in Post #7 in this thread: https://rennlist.com/forums/996-foru...oswitches.html The guy's working on a Boxster but says that the procedure is "almost" identical for a 996.
