996 your car's pic needed for putting together screen saver

i want to put together a screen saver for our 996 rennlisters please upload you fav. car pic! it HAS to be YOUR 996!

Unless you only have a 15" screen and have your display set on 800x600 anything posted here falls short for resolution and photo quality for a screen saver. I think you would need at least 1280x1024 pics.

It was never a turbo. Its missing the side intakes for the intercooler.

AHHAHA, it WAS a turbo and there WERE intakes.. I photoshop'd them out. DAMN I'm good!

Let me know when your done, looking forward to the end result.

It is actually an alligator from the Merritt Island Wildlife Refuge in Titusville, Fl. The beach is at Patrick Air Force Base. The car was in my front yard until Photo Shop put them all together.

Sure is. This was on the porsche club drive from Smokey Point up over the North Cascades. If I remember correctly it was a two day drive. I only did the first day so I got these on my solo trip back. It was a blast. Thanks for the compliments on the pics too!

k, my F car screensaver has seen it's days, is there any progress on this? i love the idea and would love to see fellow members rides on my screensaver!!

sorry man, trying to sort out a lic. issue with my software. i don't want to distribute something needs register/pay.

the screen saver looks great, but the file size is rather huge (~17MB), compare to avg. screen saver.

Hopefully its still better late than never.

sorry guys, it's been awhile...... i did put them together, but the result is a little too big (hundred mega-byte), which is expected, after all, i packed all those nice pictures into one file! please let me discuss the options: 1. still using the org. big pic. (hopefully everyone has high-speed internet) 2. resize the pic. so it's easier to download.

BIG PIC Anyone with dial-up shouldn't be allowed on the internet anyway.

just downsample the image so you can at least post the image here. i use photoshop, which allows for a full range of .jpg quality and various .png quality. depending on the image, you can downsample a lot in image size and not lose quality of image at the size being used. it's a balance. can i still play...?
