I keep thinking of having my disassembled and cleaned, painted or powder coated and reassembled for my Boxster.

Suggestion

Do make certain there is no debris in the hole, use blue Loctite.

Just refurbished a set of BBS Sport Classic II , do anyone know what torque to use for the bolts please?
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hey Win,
(Just read the same as Jscaramella)
People recommend ordering new titanium bolts. Might want to give BBS a cal and ask them whats the best way to proceed. Not sure the bolts are reusable.
BBS will supply you with the correct torque setting as well.

And they couldn't give you any torque specs? Another link for some Bentley BBS 2 piece wheels said 12ft.lbs per bolt and that they reused them... Not sure about that but somebody with more knowledge will chime in soon...

BBS does not sell wheel assembly bolts to the public. Their official stance is to not reuse any bolts either(most likely due to liability). With that said, many including myself have reused bolts, just need to make sure you apply some blue loctite upon reassembly. Not sure on the BBS classics but my RS-GT uses titanium bolts. Just add up the cost of each titanium bolt multiplied by several and you can see that it would be very cost prohibitive. There are however some wheel outfits that do sell aftermarket bolts to the public.
Here's one example:

This is what BBS replied to me :
Thank you very much for your Email.
Unfortunately we need to inform you that it is not allowed to disassemble multipiece wheels which are produced by BBS. A disassembly of the parts is not allowed and will terminate the approval for road use. For that reason and for reasons of safety and product liability we neither inform any third party about technical details of our wheels such as the torque setting of the connecting bolts nor about any other technical data concerning the assembly or disassembly of BBS wheels.
We kindly ask you for your understanding.
Kind regards
Old thread, but in case this comes up as a search result
15-16 Ft lbs. Do not exceed 19 ft lbs
, the bolts are titanium and you're threading into aluminum. Ti bolts are weaker than steel, and land between Class 8.8 and Class 10.9
Do make certain there is no debris in the hole, use blue Loctite. If the hole is stripped - use an M7 time-sert(or another quality thread insert). Keep the same tq spec when threading into the steel insert.
Noticed this post:
This is absolutely not correct, those bolts are likely damaged and stretched beyond their service spec.
M7 bolts, max torque should not exceed 22 ft lbs for Class 12.9.
I keep thinking of having my disassembled and cleaned, painted or powder coated and reassembled for my Boxster. I wonder what color to do the centers for a speed yellow car.
